1. Controller
The controller is Javier López, owner of Web católico de Javier, established in Spain. Email: contactarcon@webcatolicodejavier.org.
2. Purpose and nature of the website
The website has a religious, evangelising, cultural and educational purpose. It is free and personal, and its maintenance is not a commercial activity. It is not an official website of any diocese, parish, congregation or cause for canonisation unless an express collaboration is stated.
3. Processing activities
Email addresses, names or signatures and message content are used to answer enquiries sent to the portal. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in managing the communications received. Messages are kept only for the time needed to reply and, as a general rule, for no longer than twelve months.
Server logs may contain the IP address, date, requested resource, browser and similar technical data. They are used to maintain the security and availability of the portal and to produce aggregate statistics through tools such as Webalizer, on the basis of legitimate interest.
The information needed to deal with requests for correction, anonymisation or removal of content is retained while the request is processed and for the periods needed to record how it was handled.
4. Testimonials, bulletins and historical content
The portal contains historical bulletins and documents connected with beatification or canonisation causes. The testimonies of private individuals included in the published versions have been anonymised.
Requests for review, correction or removal may be sent to the controller’s email address.
5. Religious organisations and external services
Some pages provide an email address for direct contact with a religious congregation, community or organisation. Those messages are not received, stored or managed by Web católico de Javier; the identified recipient is an independent controller.
Subscriptions to the WhatsApp and Telegram channels take place voluntarily on those platforms. The website does not receive the visitor’s telephone number, account or follower list.
YouTube players and the Spanish and English daily Gospel modules from evangeli.net configured with informed loading are not created until the visitor presses the corresponding button. Once an external service is activated, its provider may receive the IP address and other technical data under its own policies.
6. Recipients and international transfers
Technical hosting, email, maintenance, security and communications providers may process data on behalf of the controller under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Personal data is not sold or disclosed for advertising and is supplied to public authorities only where required by law.
Voluntary use of WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube or evangeli.net may involve processing under the responsibility of those providers and in accordance with the safeguards described in their policies.
7. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Write to contactarcon@webcatolicodejavier.org. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
8. Security and automated decisions
Proportionate technical and organisational measures are used. No profiling or automated decisions with legal effects are carried out.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when processing, services or law change. The version published on this page is the current one.
