1. Controller
The controller is Javier López, owner of Web católico de Javier, established in Spain. Email: contactarcon@webcatolicodejavier.org.
2. Purpose and nature of the website
The website has a religious, evangelising, cultural and educational purpose. It is free and personal, and its maintenance is not a commercial activity. It is not an official website of any diocese, parish, congregation or cause for canonisation unless an express collaboration is stated.
3. Processing carried out
Emails sent to the website are processed to answer the message or a request concerning published content, on the basis of consent and the steps requested by the sender. Server logs may contain IP address, date, requested resource and browser data for security and technical operation, on the basis of legitimate interest. Data are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and legal obligations.
4. Sensitive data and historical material
Sensitive information voluntarily included in an email is used only to handle that communication and is not published. The contact address is not a channel for submitting accounts to canonisation causes. Personal accounts in published historical bulletins have been anonymised; anyone who may still be identifiable may request review or removal.
5. Religious organisations and external services
Some pages publish an email address for direct contact with an identified religious organisation. The website does not receive or manage those messages; the recipient organisation is an independent controller. WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube and other external providers process data under their own terms when a visitor voluntarily activates or accesses them.
6. Recipients and international transfers
Technical hosting, email, maintenance and security providers may process data on the controller’s behalf under confidentiality and data-protection duties. Data are not sold or disclosed for advertising. Authorities may receive them where legally required. External providers may use infrastructure outside the EEA subject to the safeguards stated in their policies.
7. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Write to contactarcon@webcatolicodejavier.org. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
8. Security and automated decisions
Proportionate technical and organisational measures are used. No profiling or automated decisions with legal effects are carried out.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when processing, services or law change. The version published on this page is the current one.
